Nov. 8: Sandhill Crane Tour at Waterloo Recreation Area

Join Michigan Master Naturalist Doug Jackson from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, to see sandhill cranes preparing for their fall migration.

Participants will meet at the Eddy Discovery Center parking lot, and carpool to view sandhill cranes in the fields around the Waterloo Recreation Area. The group will then stop at the Haehnle Sanctuary to see the birds coming in to their nighttime roosting area. Expect to see some of these magnificent birds at close range. Bring binoculars and cameras.
