The Chelsea Police Department issues a weekly summary of incidents reported in the city. The most recent report covers one incident from Sept. 19:
- A crash in the 1600 block of S. Main Street after a driver struck a utility pole and left the vehicle in a ditch, knocking out power to a large area. Officers found the driver, an Ypsilanti woman, with a strong odor of intoxicants, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. She was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following field sobriety tests, then transported to Washtenaw County Jail.
