The Purple Rose Theatre is hosting College Night on Saturday, Oct. 24, with $15 tickets for college students to see the world premiere of “Bastard,” plus pizza before the show and a talkback afterward.
Pizza will be served in the theatre lobby from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the performance starts at 8 p.m. After the show, students can stay for a talkback with actors and theatre professionals. College Night is held once per production, in the fall, winter, and spring.
“Bastard,” by Devin Scillian, is a dramedy about two very different brothers, an aging country rocker and a buttoned-down financial whiz, whose old wounds resurface after their mother’s death.
To buy tickets, call the Box Office at 734-433-7673 or purchase online at purplerosetheatre.org. After logging in to your Purple Rose account, enter the code COLLEGE in your cart before selecting tickets, and the seats for that performance will appear. Students should be prepared to show their student ID at the performance. The theatre is at 137 Park St. in Chelsea.
