Chelsea Kiwanis Club members had a fun time at North Creek and South Meadows elementary schools during this year’s Bulldog Jog on Friday, Oct. 9. Kids got some exercise and enjoyed apple slices afterward, handed out by Kiwanis volunteers.
The Bulldog Jog is a kid-style walk-a-thon and run-a-thon hosted by The Chelsea Elementary PTO and held during the school day. Each class has its own time slot, and Paws, the school mascot, joins in. The jog isn’t a race, and all students take part regardless of pledges.

According to the PTO’s fundraising page, the Bulldog Jog supports more than 95% of the PTO’s annual budget. Funds raised go toward teacher grants, special building projects, assemblies, and family events such as Science Night and Reading Night. As of Oct. 17, the online fundraiser had raised $12,325 from 176 donations toward its $25,000 goal. Donations can still be made at gofundme.com/f/bulldog-jog-2026.
