The Chelsea Post exclusively promotes local businesses, organizations, and events. By advertising with us, you are not only reaching residents in your own backyard, you’re also helping support a woman-owned small business right here in Chelsea, MI.
Unless otherwise noted, your ad will be displayed on every page of The Chelsea Post website. Our mission is to share what matters with the local community, and that means your ad on The Chelsea Post will not be overshadowed by Google ads, Pay Per Clicks, or mega corporations.
For legacy Chelsea Update advertisers, we’ve made the transition as easy as possible by keeping the same layout and ad specs for 2026. If you paid Chelsea Update for a full year of advertising, we will honor that payment for The Chelsea Post as well.
Ad Types
SIDEBAR ADS
- Rotating Sidebar Ad: $145/month (Available) – Rotating vertical ads display in left and right sidebar columns and reshuffle randomly on each new page. These are our most requested ads, and are very affordable. The weekly rate is $75.
- Fixed Sidebar Ad: $185/month (Waiting List) – Fixed vertical ads (aka “stick-in-place”) display at the top the sidebars and do not rotate, giving them extra visibility. These spots are currently full, but do open up occasionally. Contact us if you’d like to be placed on a waiting list.
BANNER ADS
- Top Banner Ad: $180/week (Available) – Banner ads display on the top of every page of the website. These highly visible ads do not rotate, so your banner ad is visible 100% of the time. There are only two spots available each week. If you have a special event or promotion later in the year, you can reserve your preferred dates in advance.
DISCOUNT: A discounted rate for Top Banner Ads is available for nonprofit organizations reserving space for 1 month or longer. Email us for details. - Middle Banner Ad: (not currently available) – The middle banner displays above the news stories. This ad spot is not currently available.
AD DESIGN & CHANGES
- Ad changes – Monthly advertisers may switch out their ad mid-cycle (up to 1x/wk) for a $12 swap fee.
- Ad design – If you need help creating your ad, we can provide graphic design services for $125 per ad. Small changes to ads we previously designed typically range from $25-$45 per ad.
