Road construction is set to begin on Monday, June 22, on Freer Road between Dexter-Chelsea Road and Trinkle Road, with the project expected to be completed in August.
During construction, only southbound traffic will be open. Northbound traffic will be detoured. Drivers heading to Chelsea High School should use Trinkle Road for access. Local traffic within the closure will be maintained with flaggers. The contractor will maintain access to all residential driveways throughout the project, although there may be intermittent delays during the paving process.
The scope of work includes milling existing asphalt and resurfacing and installation of pavement markings. Other work includes sidewalk upgrades on Freer from Dexter-Chelsea Road to Trinkle Road.
