Following a 56-21 victory on the football field, Chelsea has secured another win this fall. The Chelsea Education Foundation (CEF) won the 2026 Rivalry Match, raising $39,113 to top the Educational Foundation of Dexter’s (EFD) $36,111.
The victory snaps Dexter’s three-year winning streak and marks Chelsea’s first time reclaiming the trophy since 2022. Together, the two foundations raised a combined $75,224—a substantial jump from $52,080 in 2025—with every dollar directly benefiting students across both communities.
The fundraiser concluded at halftime of the Chelsea vs. Dexter varsity football game Sept. 25 at Jerry Niehaus Field. All funds raised support teacher-authored grants, classroom resources, and district-wide educational initiatives in both Chelsea and Dexter.
