Chelsea Field Hockey is inviting local boys and girls in grades 2–8 to come out, pick up a stick, and experience one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.
The Whip-It Field Hockey Camp will be held June 1, 2, and 3 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Chelsea High School Stadium. Families may register for all three days or choose the days that work best for them.
The camp is designed for both beginners and returning players. Whether an athlete is brand new to field hockey or already has some experience, Whip-It Camp offers a fun opportunity to learn the game, sharpen skills, and build confidence on the field.
Campers will focus on field hockey fundamentals, game strategy, stick skills, teamwork, and overall understanding of the sport. Instruction will be led by collegiate and varsity player coaches, giving younger athletes the chance to learn from experienced players who are excited to help grow the game in Chelsea.
Field hockey continues to gain momentum across the United States, including here in Michigan. The sport became recognized by the Michigan High School Athletic Association in the fall of 2025, marking an exciting milestone for high school field hockey programs throughout the state. As the sport grows, opportunities like Whip-It Camp help introduce younger athletes to the game and build strong local programs from the ground up.
Chelsea Field Hockey has already established itself as one of the top programs in Michigan. Chelsea High School was the Division II State Champion in 2024 and followed that success with a strong 2025 season, earning a Regional Championship and advancing to the State Semifinals.
The Whip-It Field Hockey Camp is a great chance for local youth to be part of that momentum. The camp welcomes both girls and boys and is open to players of all skill levels. Sticks will be available for anyone who needs one.
