The Chelsea District Library hosts Blue Star Service Dogs on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 6-7 p.m. in the McKune Room as part of its Dog Days of Summer series.
Blue Star Service Dogs trains dogs for veterans and first responders. Studies have shown dogs can help returning veterans with PTSD, including reducing depression symptoms and improving overall well-being. Attendees will get to meet a retired service dog at the event.
