The TimberTown Trail Fest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at TimberTown Park in Chelsea. The event includes a 5K, a 1-mile kids dash, outdoor yoga, a storybook scavenger hunt, and a cornhole tournament.
The Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative (HWPI) is hosting the festival along the Border to Border Trail. Race proceeds and donations will support HWPI and the trail.

The 5K is a timed out-and-back run/walk on the paved Border to Border Trail, starting and finishing at TimberTown. The course is beginner-friendly and has aid stations along the way. Registration is $35, and spots are limited. The 1-mile kids dash is also timed and held in the park. Registration is required and costs $15.
Most other activities are free. Breathe Yoga Chelsea is leading outdoor yoga (bring a mat), and the Chelsea District Library is hosting a storybook scavenger hunt for kids. Pickleball, yard games, baseball, volleyball and a community organization fair are also planned, and ice cream and hot dogs will be available. The cornhole tournament, run by Saline Cornhole, is for teams of two and costs $15 per person.
You can find registration and sign-up forms on HWPI’s website.
