Serendipity Books is hosting a book fair at Beach Middle School. The book fair runs from Tuesday, September 29 to Thursday, October 1.
This is the third year Beach Middle School has selected Serendipity Books to run the Fall book fair. Shannon Krug, Store Manager at Serendipity Books, said, “We appreciate a close partnership with Chelsea schools and are honored that Beach trusts us to run this fair for their students. We leverage our expertise to bring a selection of high-quality titles for the students, ensuring that all who visit feel the excited buzz of the book fair.”
Community members can purchase gift cards online not only for their own children, but also for the teachers’ classrooms and the ‘Book Bank Fund’. The school administration oversees this fund to help purchase books for any child in need.
Serendipity Books also brings a smaller selection of books for teachers, so they can find themselves a treat, too.
After the fair, Serendipity Books donates 20% of all revenue back to the school.
Sheryl Dewer, Beach Middle School Media Clerk, said, “It’s a win-win. We stay local and support an indie bookstore, and they provide us with the newest and most popular books for our students, as well as help us to raise funds for our library.”
