The Chelsea Library has added a new children’s book on the Storybook Trail at Baker Woods Preserve. The current title, “Touch the Sky,” by Stephanie V.W. Lucianovic, follows Vern, who wants to learn to pump his legs and swing high on his own. The book will be on display through the end of September.
What is the Storybook Trail?
The Storybook Trail combines the joys of reading and the outdoors. As families walk the trail, they read a book one page at a time, with a suggested activity on each page to keep kids engaged. The trail is provided by Chelsea District Library in partnership with Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation, with a funding from 5 Healthy Towns Foundation.
The Baker Woods Preserve StoryBook Trail is located at 11914 Trinkle Rd, Dexter, MI.
See the Storybook Trail web page for more information and tips on preparing for the trail. Note that this is a nature preserve, and there will be roots, rocks, and uneven ground. Dogs are not allowed on the trail.
