Dedicated community members are needed to become Election Inspectors in Lyndon Township. Being an election inspector is a great way to meet neighbors, support democracy in your community, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how elections are carried out. Election inspectors are paid for their time working an election and for online training.
To qualify in Michigan, you must:
- Be registered to vote in Michigan (the Township Clerk can help you register)
- Be willing to declare a political party preference
- Have no felony or election-related convictions
Election Inspectors can work from 6 a.m. to approximately 10 p.m. to set up for the day, process voters, then pack up and close the polls. This is Lyndon Township’s greatest need. Shifts are also available from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 2 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m.
