Chelsea and Dexter area residents can drop off scrap metal, old electronics, tires, and more at Dexter Township’s Clean-Up Day on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to noon at Dexter Township Hall, 6880 Dexter-Pinckney Road.
The township will collect scrap metal, electronic waste, tires (up to six per vehicle), and Styrofoam. Documents can also be dropped off for shredding. Household trash, toxic materials, construction waste, and bulky items such as furniture and mattresses will not be accepted.
A $10 donation per vehicle is suggested.
The township’s WWRA recycling bins will be removed from the parking lot the weekend of the event. Residents who need to recycle glass, cardboard, or plastic should drop it off before or after the weekend.
