A celebration honoring Emily will take place on Oct. 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. during the Saturday Farmers Market, which will be held that day at Chelsea State Bank, 1010 S. Main St., instead of its usual Saturday spot at Palmer Commons.

Over the past several years, Emily’s leadership, passion, and commitment to local food and community engagement have helped shape the Chelsea Farmers Market into one of the area’s most beloved community gathering places. Her vision of creating a welcoming space where people from all walks of life can come together around fresh food, local businesses, and meaningful connections has left a lasting impact on Chelsea.

Community members are encouraged to stop by the market on Oct. 10 to share their memories, gratitude, and well wishes with Emily as she begins her next chapter. The celebration will give friends, vendors, customers, and community partners a chance to recognize her contributions and the positive influence she has had on the market and the broader Chelsea community.

“Emily has dedicated countless hours to growing and strengthening the Chelsea Farmers Market while fostering a sense of community that extends far beyond market day,” said Angie Walls, Chelsea Farmers Market Co-Manager. “We hope everyone who has been touched by her work will join us in thanking her and celebrating all she has accomplished.”
