Thanks to Bob Milbrodt for submitting this information.
September 30 marked the end of the Kiwanis Club of Chelsea’s fiscal year. We conduct fundraisers throughout the year to be able to support worthy groups in the community.
Some of the groups receiving our support include:
- Scholarships for preschool students
- Ele’s Place for grieving children and families
- Pumpkins for Mott Children’s Hospital patients to decorate
- Community Halloween Party
- Children’s Fair Parade
- Chelsea Library’s Summer Reading Program
- Community Easter Egg Hunt
- Chelsea Parent Teacher Organization
- Bob-a-Loo education program
- Apple slices for Bulldog Jog students
- Chelsea High School’s Key Club and St. Louis Center Aktion Club
- Sending students to Boys and Girls State
- Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts
- Chelsea Robotics
- Intergenerational Garden
Thanks to the generosity of the Chelsea community members who visited our food concession trailer during Sounds & Sights and the Chelsea Community Fair, who purchased mixed nuts and chocolates last fall, and who sponsored or played in our Charity Golf Outing, we met our fundraising goals.
