Chelsea Children’s Cooperative Preschool to Hold First Rummage Sale July 24-25

By Lisa Carolin

The upcoming Chelsea Children’s Cooperative Preschool rummage sale will take place July 24 and 25 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at St. Paul United Church, 14600 E. Old U.S. Highway 12 in Chelsea.

The preschool provides a nurturing, play-based environment where 3 and 4-year-old children learn, grow, and meet other children. Since families play an active role in participating in the school community, the experience is supportive for all involved.

Audrey Anderson is the 2026-2027 president of the co-op.

“To the best of our knowledge, this is the first rummage sale organized by the co-op,” said Anderson. “Our goal is to raise funds that directly benefit the children through classroom materials, educational programming, and other school improvements.”

Anderson says the preschool is not taking donations.

“We are fortunate to have a wonderful community of current and former co-op families, who are donating the items for this sale,” she said. “At this time, we are not accepting donations from the general public.”

She says that shoppers can expect to find gently used household goods, home décor, toys, books, children’s items, seasonal decorations, kitchenware, and clothing at the rummage sale.

“With donations coming from many local families, there will be something for just about everyone, and every purchase helps support the preschool,” said Anderson.
