Chelsea Area Historical Society & Museum will host Lisa Allmendinger for its “The Stories Behind the Stories” series on Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Chelsea Depot, 125 Jackson St.
As the longtime publisher behind Chelsea Update, Allmendinger’s career in journalism began long before she started covering the community she calls home. Now recently retired, she has a lifetime of stories to share, not only from her career in journalism, but also from her own family history.
Attendees can look forward to an entertaining and personal evening as Allmendinger takes the audience behind the stories and shares tales about her family, including her great-grandfather, an All-American football player at the University of Michigan.
Tickets are $10 for non-members and free for CAHS members.
