Washtenaw County voters can cast their ballots early and in person ahead of the Tuesday, Nov. 3, General Election. The nine-day early voting period begins Saturday, Oct. 24, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 1, including both weekends. Early voting sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Twenty-three cities and townships are taking part in the Washtenaw County-coordinated early voting plan, administered by the County Clerk’s office. Voters in those jurisdictions can choose between two sites: a regional site assigned to certain cities and townships, and a central site open to all of them.
The regional site for the City of Chelsea, the City of Manchester, and Freedom, Manchester, Lima, Lyndon, Sharon, and Sylvan townships is Sylvan Township Hall, 18027 Old US-12, Chelsea. The central site is the Washtenaw County Learning Resource Center, 4135 Washtenaw Ave., Ann Arbor, which serves voters in all 23 participating jurisdictions.
Other regional sites serve voters in different parts of the county. The City of Ann Arbor, the City of Milan, Bridgewater Township, and Ypsilanti Township are running their own early voting plans, with sites and hours listed on the Washtenaw County early voting website.
Early voting gives residents more flexibility to fit voting into their schedules. Voters can also choose to vote by absentee ballot or at their assigned polling place on Election Day. Voters are encouraged to make a plan to vote by reviewing their ballot, confirming their registration, and choosing the option that works best for them.
