The Purple Rose Theatre Company’s 36th season officially begins this week with the world premiere of Bastard on Friday, Oct. 2.
Written by former Detroit news anchor Devin Scillian and directed by Rhiannon Ragland, Bastard is a compelling new dramedy following two estranged brothers—an aging country rocker and a buttoned-down financial advisor—forced to confront old family wounds after the death of their mother.
