Chelsea will host the annual Marching Band Exhibition on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 4:55 to 9 p.m. at Jerry Niehaus Stadium. The event brings together 14 high school marching bands from around southeastern Michigan, along with the Beach Middle School bands, and closes with a performance by the Eastern Michigan University Marching Band.
The exhibition gives area bands a chance to perform outside the usual Friday night football halftime show, in front of family, peers, and college marching band directors. After the final performance, all high school bands are invited to meet and greet with one another and with the EMU band on the field.
