How to submit an obituary

  • Email your submission to [email protected]

NOTE: If you’ve requested that the funeral home send your loved one’s obituary to The Chelsea Post on your behalf, there’s no need to send it to us separately.
  • Send obituary text in the body of your email or as an attached Word document — not a PDF. We may do light editing if needed, but please be careful to spell all names correctly. Include full name, date of passing, city/town of residence, survivors, and any service or memorial details.
  • Attach a photo as a JPG or PNG file — not embedded in the email body. We may crop the photo if necessary to fit the layout.
  • For our records only, please include: your name, email, and phone number, the name and email of the person responsible for payment if different, and the name of the funeral home handling arrangements.
  • Once we receive your submission, we will confirm publication and send a payment link.
